Dear Diary, last night our pal Willy Chavarria dropped by Boom to celebrate his NYFW presentation—what a way to end the week. A fashion mania draws to a close, we're ready to rest our feet and look back on a wild seven days.
Yesterday, designer Willy Chavarria debuted his "most elevated collection yet," telling Vogue “We wanted to avoid quiet luxury at all costs." His big swing paid off and the magazine noted "sweeping couture-esque cape-dresses in red Japanese silk and white recycled polyester at the end took everyone’s breath away." After his triumph on the runway, Willy took a victory lap in Boom, celebrating the collection with some of his friends and muses.
Tove Lo and Vic Mensa mixed and mingled with Luka Sabbat, Cyn Santana, VBlack Sherif, Millyz, Michael Cimino, Kerri Colby, the Clermont Twins, Destin Conrad, Yves Mathieu and more. Guests got down to beats by DJs Bianca Oblivion, Eli Escobar and Nomi Ruiz—before surprise performance by rapper YG. Guests sipped a signature Margarita Willy cocktail and Don Julio 1942 on the rocks.
