The Standard Plaza (the only public square of its kind in lower Manhattan) sits in front of the hotel at the corner 13th and Washington Streets. Currently the Plaza is serving “al fresco Pizza” by Dan Silverman along with pie consultant Chef Frank Pinello - of Best Pizza. The menu features an assortment of antipasti and salads with fresh produce from the Locusts Farm upstate. Gelatos and sorbets are made in house. During the winter months, there's a skating rink and Alpine Kaffeeklatsch serving cold-weather favorites. The Plaza also features our large-scale art installations including to date: KAWS, Erwin Wurm and Kenny Scharf.
