Finance Executive
Responsibilities:
Credit and Accounts Receivable
- To process credit applications promptly, ensuring that all clients are notified promptly and professionally. The credit worthiness of all applications must be checked and approved by the Director of Finance and General Manager.
- Ensure that all debtors trading beyond their normal terms are followed up regularly and that the Director of Finance is notified of any accounts that are continually in this situation.
- Accountable for the accurate processing of all AR accounts.
- Ensure that all Trade Debtors’ invoices are accurate; all services invoiced supported by a valid guarantee of payment and the room rates correct.
- Responsible for the timely transfer of the invoices to the city ledger and prompt mailing or e-mailing of the invoices to the debtors.
- Follow up on overdue payments, communicate with customers to resolve any billing issues promptly and effectively.
- Process all cheques and payments received accurately and on daily basis.
- Complete a daily summary of all adjustments related to the City Ledger; ensure that it is distributed as necessary and reconciled with a PMS Generated report at end of shift.
Credit Cards & Various Payment Methods
- Ensure that all credit card transactions are verified for completeness and the accounts formally reconciled on daily basis.
- Promptly investigate all credit card disputes, liaising with the Front Office and the banks.
- Collate all necessary paperwork to justify credit card refunds and obtain sign off from the management before refunds can be processed.
- Oversee timely reconciliation of other payment methods via various payment gateway online platforms.
F&B Non-Sales
- Ensure that all F&B Non-Sales and void transactions are justified and accounted for.
- To record all non-sales and discounts daily.
Requirements:
- Possess a bachelor's degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably with a Hospitality background.
- Good command of verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Hands-on and positive attitude with initiative.
- Team player with high work ethic.
