Day of the Dead Decadence in Bangkok

We can’t help it; Halloween just brings out our indulgent side. This year in Bangkok, our annual Día de los Muertoscelebration in Ojo pulled out all the stops. Though Thailand and Mexico are a world apart, our glittering restaurant in the sky has earned kudos as the destination for Mexican flavors in Bangkok. A trio of chefs (our own Chef Paco Ruano plus Chef Alonso and Chef Billy Otis) brought the heat with taco stations, cold and raw apps and innovative canapés. 

But you had to see the room. A breathtaking marigold garden took center stage, with immersive visual projections and moody lighting that captured the spirit of the Day of the Dead. It was truly next level, with Latin beats by DJs Hijo del Maïz and Rui. Our friends sipped cocktails by guest bartender Sandeep Kumar from The Wise King

So there you have it: Art, cuisine, and a festive occasion colliding on the 76th floor. It was a visual feast and a literal feast, the latest in a tradition of can’t-miss parties at The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon. Here’s how it looked…
