It's OK to love Bruce. The art collective Bruce High Quality Foundation has been taking jabs at the art world since turning up in 2001 with its mission “to impregnate the institutions of art with the joy of man’s desiring.”
Obviously, we support this mission, and so should you.
This Thursday, November 6th at 9pm, join them for NOT FOR PROFIT, their fundraising party to support Bruce High Quality Foundation University, their art school and community space in the East Village that’s spreading the Gospel of Bruce and offering a viable alternative to the prevailing art world ethos of money, money, and more money. It’s this week’s must-attend party.
Get your tickets here. More info here.
In addition to investing in an art organization that won’t bore you to tears, you’ll get:
A live performance by the inimitable, indefatigable Dev Hynes (Blood Orange)
DJ sets from EDAN, Blazer Sound System and Max McFerren
Performances by comedians Ana Fabrega, FAKE INJURY PARTY, and others
Open vodka bar
Who knows, if the night goes as planned, you could end up impregnating an institution. Just be sure to name it Bruce. Or Stan.
