This Thursday, SPIN Standard will be transported back in time to a swanky sensual 1970s cocktail party enhanced by vintage videos and a period soundtrack curated by music producer and film composer, Mark Governor. Ovation award winning director choreographer Janet Roston of LA Rock Opera will bring "The Honey Noir Review", a performance inspired by the Pamela Grier action movies of the 70's. The Andrew Weiss Gallery will present a prestigious exhibition and silent auction of 20th century masters fine art including works by Picasso, Chagall, Miro, and Dali. Guests will be able to select from original etchings, wood engravings and lithographs culled form rare editions and important collections that originate from the 1970s. And, naturally, the dance floor will be open with KCRW DJ Aaron Byrd spinning soulful funk and grooves.
