Becoming an orthodox raw vegan may seem rather drastic to many of us, but you'd be surprised what just a few modifications to your diet can do. You may not achieve full vegan superpowers, but you might start to feel like you are. Here's a few suggestions to get you moving down :
Start with a Juice:
Start out slow by incorporating a fresh pressed juice or smoothie to your diet. This is a great and easy way to flood your body with living enzymes, vitamins and nutrients, especially if you have a hard time "eating your greens."
Organic Fruits & Veggies:
Make sure to choose organic veggies and fruits and have fun trying different combinations. You will start to eliminate stored toxins in the body and will begin to experience more sustained energy throughout your day, better digestion and a more positive outlook.
Look for the dark leafy greens:
Try to incorporate as many dark leafy greens, like kale and spinach, as possible, and if you find the taste to be too harsh, try adding apple or citrus fruits to the mix. This will make your juice or smoothie easier to consume.
Yummy Kale Salad Recipe:
The Standard Spa teamed up with local organic produce company, Endlessly Organic, for a “Lessons in the Raw,” cooking demo. Members and guests enjoyed the culinary expertise of The Lido Restaurant and Bayside Grill.
