CSM Artist Call Out

The Standard, London is on the lookout for an up-and-coming artist to create a bespoke art installation for our brand new venue ahead of its launch in September 2021. The chosen artist will receive £1,000 plus materials, one night’s stay in the hotel, plus exposure via a dedicated article on our website, @TheStandardLondon's Instagram page and via our monthly newsletter.

The Standard is known for collaborating with artists on site-specific projects across all of our hotels globally, and this year we are offering an opportunity to CSM students to showcase their work. 


The Brief

To design and install a 2D wall mural in the stairwell of the new venue on the 10th floor of The Standard, London

Use the space to create an experience as people ascend or descend from The Rooftop to the new venue 

Take influence from The Standard brand, culture, design, and function of the spaces

We’d recommend visiting the building pre-submission

Consider the installation process and context of the piece


Submissions

Submit a proposal, some examples of your portfolio, plus a cover letter

Submissions will be reviewed by our Culture team who curate the art, music, and events that take place at The Standard, London

Submission deadline: 23rd July 2021

Installation deadline: 10th September 2021
