Snapchat became just “Snap," and Uber started testing self-driving cars. Moonlight was the year’s Best PictureStranger Things became a phenomenon and Ken Loach’s I, Daniel Blake took home the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Beyoncé dropped Lemonade and the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Manus x Machina” exhibit bridged fashion and technology, exploring the future of couture in a digital age.
