Culture and Programming Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Crafting a vibrant and diverse monthly cultural calendar that celebrates arts, music, fashion, film, and wellness, while fostering a deep passion for these related fields.
- Leveraging expertise and local connections in music, art, fashion, film and wellness to enrich programming and stimulate business growth.
- Cultivate and leverage local connections within creative communities to forge partnerships for events and activations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all hotel departments and F&B outlets.
- Establishing, managing, and expanding relationships with key speakers, personalities, influencers, and companies to enhance support for the cultural calendar.
- Developing and fostering partnerships to enhance the hotel’s event calendars for impact. Focus on delivering a program that prioritizes quality over quantity, emphasizing the critical importance of quality control.
- Maintaining a keen awareness of competitors and consistently benchmarking our events against industry peers, The Standard, Singapore, aims to be a leader in its field, as reflected in its cultural calendar.
- Understand, maintain and enhance the identity of The Standard brand through programming efforts.
- Ensuring the program is delivered according to established timelines.
- Coordinate, arrange, and lead weekly meetings for cultural events to review upcoming activities and discuss future plans.
- Collaborating closely with the Director of Food and Beverage and the Director of Marketing and Communication to propose, align, and plan the program activation concept, direction, and feasible execution plan.
- Always exercise keen discretion and maintain confidentiality when addressing ongoing challenges.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of marketing and public relations practices, aligning work with these standards.
- Develop and programs activities for hotel guests, the local community and expat live in Singapore.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure the successful execution of events, parties, and programming.
- Manage and coordinate key events with relevant teams, working closely with the hotel's Marketing team to ensure guest satisfaction and experience.
- Provide support by perform any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Food and Beverage.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Arts, Business, Marketing Communications, Event Management, Hospitality, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in event programming and management, preferably in a hospitality or entertainment setting.
- Strong knowledge of music, art, fashion, film and wellness industries.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Creative thinker with a passion for cultural innovation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
- Flexible with work schedule based on program activation needs.
- Capable of building and managing relationships with various departments, external vendors and guests.
- Vibrant and has a flair for showmanship.
