Astier de Villatte, the famed, family-owned Parisian atelier known for making some of the world's finest furniture, tablewares, ceramic objets and scents, is bringing its addictive candles to The Shop at The Standard, High Line.
Decadently packaged in hand-blown Tuscan glass, each one is a magical scent adventure all its own — from the baroque spas of Marienbad, to the streets of Delhi, to the sumptuous pâtisseries of Naples. (Alexander Wang's favorite sensory destination is Mantes La Jolie: "It's so fresh, minty, and crisp. I love it," the designer told GQ.)
The alchemy takes place at the Takasago labratories in Japan, and the vegetable wax candles are made by a master candler in the South of France from only the finest ingredients.
Come in to The Shop at The Standard, High Line to see the complete collection — which also includes incense, stationary, erasers, and pencils — or call 212.784.5520 to place an order by phone.
