So, do you remember when I brought you news of the latest member of our Standard family? She was young. She was cute. And she lived in the East Village. Yes, I'm talking about The Standard, East Village. Since that day, we've been working our behinds off (well, everyone else has) to bring you the best that we can offer, and now, our latest installment is here.

I would like to introduce to you to my newest favorite place to forget my troubles which don't exist... Café Standard! Our East-side sister has been getting more and more Standard by the minute. This summer we opened our side garden where I lazily drank my days away. Then the newly redesigned lobby opened its doors complete with a beautiful stained-glass "landscape". You'll see what I mean.
Now, we are almost complete. With Michelin-starred Chef John Fraser's restaurant coming early next year, the opening of the café marks the beginning of the final stretch. The décor is colorful and bright. There's breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night menus all coming soon. And it's the perfect place to have your first meal of the day. Mine is usually around 2pm, but that's just me.
