Why is it that when I drink during the day on weekdays it’s called a “problem,” but on weekends it’s called “brunch”? I’ve never understood it, but I’m thankful for the distinction, as it allows me to stay ever so slightly soused without fear of being judged.
This weekend, I’ll be imbibing at two of my favorite spots: The Top of The Standard at The Standard, High Line and our latest endeavor, Narcissa at The Standard, East Village. Both establishments are divine in their own way, and await your arrival.
It's Nice Out, Finally!
After surviving one of the nastiest New York winters on record, my drinking and dining regimen has shifted completely outdoors. In fact, I won’t be eating anywhere without a breeze until October, which is easy now that our two seasonal cafés at The Standards in the Meatpacking District and East Village are open. Do some beautiful people watching on the Bowery after laying claim to a table for two at Café Standard.
On the west side, you can enjoy our new menu of addictive flatbreads on The Plaza in the shadow of The Standard, High Line. Both restaurants are technically first-come, first-served, but you know what to do.
