MADE (at The Standard) Fashion Week is full of contradictions. One minute you've got festoons of organza and the next, wearable geometric cages. The effect can be aesthetic whiplash, but that's what makes it so fun. When Wes Gordon and Cushnie Et Ochs - the glam brands of the moment - were set to show on the same day as Ammerman Schlösberg and Chromat - purveyors of goth, technology, and conceptual fashion - the collision seemed ripe for photographic juxtaposition. And it was Friday the 13th, nice and witchy and perfect for the supernaturally gifted Balarama to do the honors.
