Wednesday night, designer Sandy Liang gathered with friends, tastemakers + fashion fanatics to celebrate the launch of her Lunar New Year Collection. The Standard, High Line was filled with the biggest bows and Year of the Dragon vibes.
The noted designer and Chef Danny Bowien co-hosted the event, which became a coquette dreamland of flouncy bows and red lanterns. Guests included Ella Emhoff, Pierce Abernathy, Aaliyah Interlude, Bella Banos, Kelsey Soles, Clara Perlmutter, Hannah Harrell, Imani Randolph, Griffin Maxwell Brooks, Anna Shoemaker, Ashley Rous aka BestDressed, The Young Emperors, Izzy Alain, Antoni Bumba, Sara Hiromi, Gabrielle Richardson, Chloe Wise and more.
The crowd gathered around an extravagant calla lilly installation inxspired by Miguel Paolo Yatco's famed Fabergé Egg, cheekily referencing The Year of The Dragon. Beats by DJ Parker Radcliffe filled the room while guests sipped drinks and watched the Manhattan skyline.

We had to hear Sandy's thoughts on the new year. We picked her brain for some Year of the Dragon advice.
Growing up it seemed to me that the adults always felt like the year of the Dragon was a very desirable year to be born! I don't have tips specific to this year but as always I'll follow a few superstitious things: 1. don't wash your hair at all during 2/10 2. clean your house before 2/10 and don't clean during 2/10. Sadly, this is my first year as a married person so I'll have to start giving away red envelopes—but single people get to just collect!
