Cameo Culture Mixtape Four
The Wolf: Is Outback Steakhouse even from Australia? No, seriously you’re from Australia, right?
Cameo Culture: People often get confused with Outback Steakhouse, thinking it's Australian. In fact, it's an Austrian restaurant. Apparently Austrians like eating kangaroo. Strange country. But yes, I am from Australia. I was born in the U.S., but moved to Australia when I was very young, so I'm basically 99.99% Aussie. I've got the accent, the need to surf and drink beer, and the larrikin attitude - what else do you need to be Australian?
You did this special mix for the party at Le Bain. What is the track that's playing at 22:11 in the mix. It’s really working for me right now.

How did you get into this whole music thing, and why are you still here?
I guess music has been a life long obsession for me. When we were young my dad used to play his acoustic guitar and sing "Puff The Magic Dragon" by Peter, Paul, And Mary, and we would sit at his feet, enraptured. I took piano lessons, and played alto saxophone in the school band. But I don't think I was really hooked until I started playing around with computer software, and I started to apply some of the theory I'd learned to write music that I loved, and that I was hearing in clubs. I think since that time, it's just been a case of trying to perfect what I do, which I'm still working on.
Slow Hands, Everything (We Are) (Cameo Culture remix)
You've got a dope album coming out. Care to leak a track or tell us about it?
I'm really excited about the album release, it's been over two years in the making. My influences and tastes have swung around a lot in that time, sometimes coming full circle. It's packed with lots of real musicians - friends singing, playing bass, drums, and horns. It really is a little snapshot of me and what I'm into at the moment, and I'm grateful to have it out there in the world.
