Jennifer Vincent Group
Bassist and cellist Jennifer Vincent has been an active force on the music scene in New York City for well over a decade. She started as a classically-trained cellist at Oberlin Conservatory and is equally comfortable in the jazz, Latin-jazz, and traditional Cuban musical idioms. She delves into music that utilizes West African, Japanese, and Middle Eastern influences. For the past 5 years she has been touring the world over with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, carrying on the tradition of the longest-running and most legendary jazz orchestra in American history.

Wednesday, November 6th

Hyuna Park Duo
Born in Masan, South Korea in 1984, pianist Hyuna Parkstarted receiving formal training at the age of three. After attending KyungHee University, where she was awarded two scholarships, Park enjoyed a successful career with steady performing engagements, movie and TV soundtracks. In 2010, she decides to take her career to a new level and moves to New York City, where she has become an integral part of both the New York jazz scene. She has shared the stage with Grammy-winners Vincent Herring, Luis Bonilla, Linda Oh, Michel Mossman... She regularly performs with the Avalon Jazz Band, A Mighty Good Thing, The Redbirds and, of course, her own band: the Hyuna Park Trio.

James Weidman Duo
James Weidman  is one of the most versatile pianists in the world of music. He has performed with the likes of Abbey Lincoln and Joe Lovano, and plays classical and atonal music. With a player as talented as Weidman, it's no wonder the press used terms such as "unfailingly lyrical," "convivially assertive," and "exquisite" to describe him.

Friday, November 8th
Rişe Özkan Trio
Quit her high-flying job as a Corporate Communicator in one of Turkey's top companies in 2017, Rişe Özkan decided to pursue her life-long passion of music and left Istanbul to study jazz in the US. She earned her master’s degree in Jazz Vocal Performance from William Paterson University of NJ in May 2019, where she studied with Bill Charlap and Nancy Marano along with a faculty of world-class New York jazz musicians. Currently performing with various groups around the city, Rişe Özkan Trio will be playing songs from The Great American Song Book.

Dario Boente Trio
Immersed in the culture of tango and jazz, Argentine pianist and composer Dario Boente is a musician who is equally at home performing romantic Argentine and jazz compositions on a grand piano as he is programming world-beat electronica. Since moving to NYC in 1999, Dario has released ten albums and compilations and worked with world-class jazz musicians such as Antonio Sanchez, Ronny Jordan, and Fernando Otero, and DJs such as Louie Vega and Kerri Chandler.

Jordan Piper Duo
Jordan Piper's mature sound and what Star Ledger calls a “melodically-rich soloing” sets him apart as a pianist and composer. He is at home in many styles of music, drawing his repertoire from standards of the American songbook and the jazz tradition. As part of the vibrant music scene in the NYC area, Jordan has performed at many well-known jazz clubs, including the Blue Note, Iridium, Smoke, Smalls, and more.

Takuya Nakamura Group
Takuya Nakamura was born in Japan and moved to New York in the '90s. A multi-instrumentist, composer, and producer, he is considered a pioneer of the sci-fi du noir genre, which is a mix of lo-fi, jazz analog, and space techno. He has collaborated with musicians like Coco Rosie, The Brooklyn Gypsies GZA of Wu-Tang Clan, David Byrne, Laurie Anderson, Quincy Jones, and many more.

Saturday, November 16th
Simona Premazzi Trio
Since moving to New York from Italy in 2004, pianist Simona Premazzi has earned recognition for her improvisational work and skillful approach as a composer. A gifted musician, she has shown herself to be an accomplished bandleader and much sought after collaborative partner on other artists’ musical projects. Premazzi performed in all major New York jazz venues including the historic and prestigious Village Vanguard, and jazz festivals around the world. "Her composing style stays modern without ever being airless and swing-deficient, open without getting lost in harmony and sentimentality. And her soloing is special” – Ben Ratliff (New York Times)

Sweet Megg & The Wayfarers

Sweet Megg & The Wayfarers seamlessly incorporate elements of Dixieland, Harlem swing, Parisian cabaret, and gut-bucket-blues into one charming musical performance. Saxophonist Ryan Weisheit reimagines a world where Sidney Bechet, Lester Young, and Charlie Parker blow side-by-side. Together Sweet Megg, Ryan, and all The Wayfarers create a world where jazz is alive and living in New York.

Wednesday, November 20th
Ryan Weisheit Trio
NYC-based saxophonist and clarinetist Ryan Weisheit began studying saxophone at the age of ten. He studied with the legendary alto saxophonist and educator Bunky Green at the University of North Florida, where he was able to perform with some of the greatest living jazz musicians, including Dave Brubeck, Slide Hampton, Kenny Garrett, and many more. In 2017 he joined the St. Louis-based Americana band, Pokey LaFarge. He also has his own 1920s and '30s swing band, Sweet Megg & The Wayfarers.

Pianist and composer John Davis  has been performing and touring with the world's finest jazz musicians for over 25 years and has appeared on more than 50 recordings. Most widely known for his association with legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius, Davis has shown a rare versatility that ranges from solo to big band. He has performed with such artists as the John Handy Quartet, Johnny Coles, Buddy Montgomery, as well as jazz legends Joe Henderson, Milt Jackson, and Stan Getz.

Justin Jones Group
Since the age of 9, Justin has been bringing his unique approach to the world of music. Not only is he an inspiration to the world of Jazz, but also to the growing pool of young talent in the worlds of Hip Hop, Pop, Gospel and R&B. Justin Jones is a graduate of William Paterson University in his home state of New Jersey and has studied under saxophonists Bruce Williams, Vincent Herring and Mark Gross. Justin is a staple in the New York City music scene and has been seen playing at several major venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Blue Note, Carnegie Hall, Smoke and Minton’s, just to name a few.
