For those who are yet to catch Walker and Royce at a Sunday Nouveau York, or perhaps weren't paying attention, here's the 411 (411 is a number people used to dial for information before there was WiFi on your phone.): Sam Walker and Gavin Royce met ten years ago at a loft party in Brooklyn. They became fast friends and threw parties together. But then Sam headed to the studio to master the craft of production and engineering. Gavin explored the local NYC DJ scene. Would they ever work together again?
Saarid Future Lately feat. Javi (Walker & Royce Remix)
Why yes, in 2011 Providence had them both working at house music stronghold, Nervous Records. They decided to give remixing a shot under Nervous' daughter label, Nurvous. People liked what they did. A lot. They continued making music together on numerous hot labels including Crosstown Rebels, Glasgow Underground, Dither Down and Pets Recordings. Occasionally, they played at some of the best venues around the world, including your favorite 18th dance floor.
