At The Standard, Hua Hin we have a fantastic opportunity for a driven and experienced Learning & Development Manager to join The Standard Hua Hin team. Your Role:
- Cultural Fit: A strong alignment with The Standard brand, our department's culture, and the way we work across the hotel.
- L&D Expertise: Deep knowledge and passion for hospitality learning and development, with a full understanding of the L&D function. Track budgets, P&L and manage training costs and course expenses.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with the HR team and other departments, recognizing that L&D and HR are interconnected.
- Independence: Confidence and ability to handle L&D-related activities independently, with the support of an internship student when needed. While he should be able to manage sometimes to share his knowledge to other HR team members.
- Performance Management: Expertise in performance management systems (PMS) and the ability to create and implement personalized talent journeys and the hotel journey as well as the PDPs that align with The Standard Core Values.
- Problem-Solving: Skill in addressing issues raised in guest comments and team member needs, and the ability to develop effective learning courses and information to keep our team up-to-date.
- Training Expertise: A certified trainer who is approachable, collaborative, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English for conducting training sessions and communicating with team members.
- University Connections: Strong relationships or the ability to build relationships with local universities in Thailand and some post graduated hospitality school around the world.
- DSD Knowledge: Familiarity with the Department of Skills Development, including reporting requirements and tracking learning records.
- Succession Planning: Ability to work collaboratively with the Director of HR and General Manager not limited to other Executive Committees or Department Heads to develop and implement effective succession planning strategies to identify and develop future leaders within the organization.
