Located at Palácio Santa Clara, the hotel rises above the colorful alleyways of Alfama—Lisbon’s most picturesque neighborhood—offering front-row views of the river. Built atop the ancient College of St. Francis Xavier, which served as the Portuguese Royal Navy Hospital for over 200 years, the property is being reimagined by acclaimed architect Samuel Torres de Carvalho. His design respects the building’s heritage while looking ahead to a bold, unconventional Lisbon.

The Standard, Mexico City arrives in the historic Tabacalera neighborhood with character, color and a signature wink. The hotel will feature 208 rooms and suites, 27 branded residences and a leafy “secret” garden sure to become the city’s favorite hideaway. Designed with Atelier Gulla and Piciotto Arquitectos, the aesthetic draws from sun-washed CDMX architecture and a sensual, organic palette.
A bright café and late-night diner keep the ground floor lively from early mornings to the final nightcap. Above it all, a rooftop pool, signature restaurant and outdoor bar take in striking views of the Monumento a la Revolución. Each room and residence includes a private balcony, offering a front-row seat to the city.
