Slumber party at Bret's place!
Per the L.A.-based American Psycho author’s must-read Twitter feed: his 950-square-foot 1-bedroom loft in the East Village is back on the rental market. According to his broker at Warburg: “It’s perfectly located for easy transportation all over the city, and offers quick access to the very best the neighborhood offers in terms of culture and entertainment ... The apartment features maple floors, double sinks, 14' ceilings, oversized windows, and a washer/dryer. Building amenities include a common garden off the lobby and a roof deck. Topping it off is a private, exclusive, 400-square-foot terrace ... There is no separate bedroom—but lots of open space where you can live the life you love.” You should always, always stay at The Standard, East Village, of course, but if you're putting down more permanent roots, you might as well have a cool landlord who lives 3,000-miles away. Rent is $5,000 a month, which, to many jaded Manhattanites, will sound less crazy than it should.
