I'm not really sure who invented fashion week. It's something I think about often...if only because, sometimes, it feels like impending doom. All the shows, the parties, the models, the gorgeous people on the street, the mayhem in the air, the wanting, the needing, the rushing, the posing and the drinking! Wait. Who am I kidding??? All of that is AMAZING, and it's why I always make sure to make it back to the city that never sleeps every September and February.
This season, The Standard, High Line has once again joined forces with MADE to bring downtown fashion week to life. We've got some of the biggest names in fashion sending their girls down our catwalks. Costello Tagliapietra, Cushnie et Ochs, Katie gallagher, Tabitha Simmons, Alejandro Ingelmo, Patrik Ervell, Sophie Theallet and Jeremy Scott are just some of them.

It also wouldn't be fashion week without the parties, and we've got a few of them coming. Unfortunately, even I am in no position to extend an invite to most of them for you, so you're going to have to fend for yourselves, BUT...
Check back in early next week, because for the second year in a row, we're going to be taking our friends and making them foes with our annual bloodbath, TONSIL HOCKEY. You might remember from last year that this is the one night of fashion week where The Standard DESTROYS Milk Studios on the ice in a fierce game of hockey. This year, everyone is invited, and we expect you there. February 12 at 8pm. BRING IT!
