Security Officer

Responsibilities:


· Physical Security: - Perform regular patrols of hotel premises to prevent and detect any security risks or unauthorized activities. Report any suspicious activities or potential security breaches to the Security Executive.

· Emergency Preparedness: Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and emergency situations, following the established security procedures and protocols. Notify the Security Executive immediately in case of emergencies.

· Guest and Employee Safety: Monitor and operate security equipment, including CCTV, access control systems, and alarms, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly. Report any issues to the Security Executive.

· Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to address security concerns, such as assisting with crowd control during events or managing vehicle access.

· Compliance and Reporting: Ensure access control procedures are enforced, verifying identification, conducting bag checks if required, and monitoring entry and exit points. Support in emergency evacuations and fire drills, ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site and assisting in guiding guests and staff to safety. Participate in training sessions to stay updated on security procedures, first aid, and crisis management, ensuring readiness for various situations.


Requirements:

· Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in a security-related role, preferably within the hospitality industry.

· Possession of a valid Security Officer License issued by the Singapore Police Force.

· An understanding of security operations, including patrols, surveillance, and access control.

· Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, with sound judgment and problem-solving abilities.

· AN understanding of security technology, including CCTV systems, access control, and alarm systems.

· Certification in First Aid and CPR is an advantage.
